History of Logan Creek & Cedarbrook
Rich in History, People, Nature and Beauty. On May 5th 1965 ordinance number 149 passed the State of Nevada and the Logan Creek Estates General Improvement District was approved thus creating the place we call home. The original Board of Trustees included Don Hall, Clarence Schwager, James Pasternacki, Robert Amundsen and Dean Olsen. The original land Plan for the district was a total of 72 private estate size homesites on the pristine piece of property called “Logan House Creek” overlooking the East Shore of Lake Tahoe. “Logan House” was an old stopover place in the stagecoach days. “Logan House Road” can be seen today from Hwy 50 next to the Glenbrook post office. Its foundation is still there today. Glenbrook is the oldest settlement in the Lake Tahoe area and served as the main timber supplier for the nearby Comstock Lode.
